SU Ghana Embarks on Church Visits to Foster New Partnerships and Fellowship

Scripture Union (SU) Ghana, an Evangelical Christian Organization, has embarked on a momentous journey across the nation. The initiative is to establish new partnerships and foster fellowship with churches throughout Ghana. This ambitious endeavor, which commenced in the month of June, aims to strengthen the bonds of faith and collaboration among churches in Ghana as enjoined by the SU aims.

With a rich history of 133 years in Ghana, SU has been committed to empowering young people with the message of God’s love, the teachings of Christ Jesus, and discipleship. Recognizing the importance of unity within the body of Christ, the ministry has strategically planned a series of visits to churches across all regions of Ghana. The church visits seek to nurture a sense of community within the body of believers recount the SU story, remind members of the focus of the ministry, and recruit volunteers to serve in the ministry.

Representatives from SU Ghana engaged with pastors, church leaders, and congregations from diverse denominations across the nation. The team, led by , Reverend Derek E. Koomson, General Director/CEO of Scripture Union Ghana, demonstrated their unwavering commitment to fostering spiritual growth, promoting Christian values, and nurturing a sense of community within the body of believers. 

Among the churches visited include Perez Chapel Int. (Dzorwulu, Accra), Royal House Chapel (Accra), Osu Eben-ezer Presby Church (Osu, Accra), Calvary Baptist (Adenta, Accra), Grace Presby Church (Westlands, Accra), Grace Baptist Church (Asokwa, Kumasi), Lighthouse Presby Church (Tanoso, Kumasi), Advent Presby Church (Tanoso, Kumasi), Ascension Baptist Church (Bomso, Kumasi), Grace Baptist Church (Amakom, Kumasi), Christ the King Methodist Church (Asokwa, Kumasi), Fountain Christian Ministry (Agogo, Asante-Akyem), Emmanuel Presby Church (Mampong, Ashanti), PIWC (Mampong, Ashanti) Global Evangelical Church (Lokoe, Ho), Wa Community Church (Wa, Upper West), and Fountain Gate Chapel (Wa, Upper West).

As the church visits continue, SU Ghana remains committed to partnering with churches to achieve its aim of discipling the nation, one person at a time.

    Thanks be to God for this initiative; a link with the youth groups to introduce them ,JHS graduates, to the SU in SHS will be worthy.
